Tasty Recipes With Leftover Rice

Hello my fellas!! welcome to my Blog. Today I am going to share some amazing recipes with leftover rice with you all. These are quick and easy to make, even if you have least resources at your home. Recipe with leftover rice

  1. Lemon rice
  2. Tava rice

Recipe of lemon rice

Ingredients

  1. The leftover rice
  2. Oil – 1 tbsp
  3. Raai / mustard seed – 2 tsp
  4. Curry leaves as desired
  5. Dried Red chilies – 2
  6. Chana dal – 1 tspn (optional)
  7. Salt as required
  8. 1 fresh lemon
  9. Turmeric – 1 pinch

Process:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and wait for it to splutter
  2. Put dried red chilies and saute it for few seconds
  3. Add a pinch of turmeric powder
  4. Put chana dal (optional)
  5. And finally add the rice
  6. Now squeeze the lemon according to your taste and mix it properly. I generally put 3 tbsp juice for 1 bowl. So you can adjust it accordingly.
  7. Now garish with minced coriander leaves.

Tawa rice

 

 

Ingredients :

  1. Butter / ghee / oil – 2 tbsp
  2. 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  3. 2 green chili cut into pieces
  4. 1 medium size onion cut into pieces
  5. Boiled and crushed potatoes and peas
  6. 2 tomatoes finely chopped
  7. 1 big capsicum chopped
  8. 1 medium cabbage chopped
  9. 1 small carrot cut into pieces
  10. The leftover rice
  11. Pavbhaji masala – 1tbspn
  12. Garam masala – 1 tspn
  13. Red chili powder – 1 tspn
  14. Turmeric powder – 1 tspn
  15. Green coriander leaf
  16. Red chili chutney (boil 3-4 dried red chili with 3-4 garlic clove and 1 inch ginger and make paste)

Process:

  1. Take a tawa or a pan and heat butter in it
  2. Saute the ginger garlic paste
  3. Add green chilies and onion, saute it for a minute
  4. Then add tomatoes and cook them until the oil comes out from them
  5. Add 1 tspn red chili powder, 1 tspn turmeric powder and 1 tspn garam masala and 1 tbspn pavbhaji masala. Let it cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Now, throw in all your vegies, capsicum, carrot cabbage and sauté a little
  7. Add crushed puree of potatoes and peas.
  8. And mix them well and add little water to make it gravy like consistency. Also churn it a bit if needed.
  9. Now add rice and sprinkle salt accordingly
  10. Squeeze little lemon or vinegar of ting
  11. Garnish with lots of coriander leaf

Veg fried rice

 

 

Ingredients

  1. Oil 2 tbsp
  2. Minced ginger – 1 tbspn
  3. Minced garlic – 1 tbspn
  4. Green chilies – 1 cut into pieces
  5. 1 capsicum cut into small pieces
  6. Carrots cut into small pieces – 3 tbspns
  7. Cabbage shredded – 1 cup
  8. Spring onions – 1 bulb
  9. Red chili sauce – 1 tspn
  10. Green chili sauce – 1 tspn
  11. Vinegar – 2 tspn
  12. Soya sauce – 1 tspn (optional)

Process:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add ginger and garlic.
  2. On high heat, toss all the vegetables (capsicum, carrot and cabbage) do not overcook them. Keep them little raw.
  3. Now add red chili sauce, green chili sauce, and soya sauce and mix well .
  4. After that, Lower the flame and add rice.
  5. Now, sprinkle salt and toss it nicely
  6. Finally add vinegar and garnish with coriander leaf or spring onion.

Coriander rice

 

 

Ingredients

  1. 1 tbsp oil
  2. Whole spices – cinnamon stick, bay leaf, 2 cloves, 3-4 pepper, 1 cardamom
  3. 1 bunch of fresh coriander leaves
  4. 2 green chilies
  5. 2 garlic cloves
  6. 1 inch ginger
  7. Salt
  8. Leftover rice

Process

Coriander paste

Grind coriander, garlic, ginger and chilies to a smooth paste.

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add all the spices in hot oil till they splutter.
  2. Now add the paste and cook until it’s done.
  3. Add the leftover rice and mix well.
  4. Add salt for taste

Place spring onion for garnishing on top

Burnt garlic rice

 

 

Ingredients

  1. 8-10 Big garlic cloves minced
  2. 2-3 green chilies minced
  3. Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  4. 1 spring onion
  5. 1 tbsp oil
  6. Salt
  7. Leftover rice
  8. White vinegar (optional)

Process:

  1. Take a pan and add oil to it
  2. Now put all the garlic cloves in the hot oil and wait till they become slightly golden
  3. Add green chilies to it and wait for a few seconds
  4. Throw in all the rice in the pan and mix it well
  5. Add salt and spring onion green and cook for a while
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and this simple rice is ready.
